Founded in 1954 by Sam and Prudie LoMedico, the restaurant quickly became a San Diego staple, beloved for its authentic Italian dishes and welcoming atmosphere. Sam’s vision was simple: to bring the flavors of Sicily to his community, creating a place where people could gather, share, and enjoy the comforting tastes of home-cooked Italian food. Family owned since 1954, we’ve NEVER had a bad meal here. The pizza is truly the BEST in San Diego and the atmosphere is small, intimate and friendly. Addie our server was great and don’t forget to check the calendar for their daily specials.

Using fresh ingredients, they craft exceptionally good pizza. The balance of toppings is just right, avoiding an excess of cheese – and I'm a cheese lover! Their wings are also remarkably tasty. A thoughtful touch I appreciated was the seal/sticker on the pizza box, ensuring no peeking during delivery. This was a great idea, and it was my first time encountering it in pizza delivery.

I always get the spaghetti and pizza.. Today I tried the meatloaf sandwich. Great. It was good till the last bite. I highly recommend this place. They have been around for a long time and really know how to make authentic Italian food that is savory.

For its price it is definitely a five Star restaurant. Great food with great service is always a great combination. The price seals the deal. To make it even better there is ample parking behind the restaurant.
